Marek Číhal is a graduate of Vladimír Skrepl's studio at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague. He describes his work as a visual game of free movement between the media of painting and drawing with overlaps into installation and architecture. He develops his themes with a strongly expressive accent, in which one can see echoes of neo-expressionism and the graffiti scene. During his career to date he has received a number of prestigious awards.
