Jiří Hauschka

  • 1965, CZ

Jiří Hauschka is a Czech painter and a member of the international art movement of the Stuckists. Although he did not undergo a formal art education, he has developed a distinctive form of painting that straddles the line between abstraction and magical realism. His work often features emotional landscape scenes or places where civilization leaves its traces. The subjects are inspired by his experiences and imaginings, which are freely intertwined in the work. He has had numerous exhibitions not only in the Czech Republic, but also in England, Italy and the USA. His works are represented in the National Gallery in Prague and in a number of private collections.
