One of the most famous Czech photographers is literally a living legend of reportage and war photography. He has made over 250 reportage trips to all corners of the world and has also photographed hundreds of reports in the Czech Republic. He has received countless photography awards for his work, including the World Press Photo in 2004. For twenty years he worked as head of the photo department and picture editor at Reflex magazine. In recent years he has been freelancing.
In 2021 he was part of the exhibition Jizerska 50 Seen by 6, in which he recorded this legendary race with his characteristically strong reportage handwriting, although he has never been actively involved in sports photography. His black and white photographs thus conceptualise this sporting event as the story of the race, with all the joys and pains of its participants.
