Jakub Janovský is a graduate of the Drawing Studio at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague (Drawing Studio, under Professor Jitka Svobodová). Although he often expresses himself across various artistic media, his primary focus remains on painting, sculpture, installation, and intervention drawing. He also engages in public space projects, video, and book illustration. In his work, he predominantly reflects on the periods of childhood and adolescence through memories and introspection. The artist views themes such as sports, competition, and ambition with a certain skepticism. His work is represented in several state institutions and private collections, including the National Gallery in Prague, the City Gallery Prague, and the COLLET Prague | Munich Collection, among others.
