Eva Vones

Eva Vones is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague in the studio of Karel Souček. She lives and works alternately in Southern Bohemia and Vienna. In her work, she reacts with her unmistakable handwriting to the fast-paced world dominated by technology, which she balances with her canvases full of peaceful, untouched nature. In this safe environment she seeks a natural dialogue between nature and man. An important theme in her work is the phenomenon of time, which affects nature, humans and animals in a variety of ways. She often works with ash, which can correctly capture both the aforementioned tranquility and the drama that nature offers.
