Barbora Šlapetová

Barbora Šlapetová is a Czech painter, photographer and experimental filmmaker. In 1997 she graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague, also studied in Montreal and Berlin. She works with painting, photography, drawing, film and the written word. Together with her husband Lukáš Rittstein, they represented the Czech Republic at the world EXPO 2010 in Shanghai and EXPO 2015 in Milan. They are also the authors of three books that are closely connected with their travels to Papua New Guinea. She is the recipient of several prestigious Czech and international awards. She has been collaborating with NASA since 2009.
