Tomáš Tichý

Tomáš Tichý (born 1984) studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague under Professor Karel Stretti. He also completed a one-year study program at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Belgium. In his work, he enjoys exploring the relationship between traditional painting techniques and the digital world of new media. He likes to play with human perception and painterly illusion. His large-format paintings attract attention not only in the Czech Republic but also abroad. He has exhibited in countries such as Germany, Italy, and the United Kingdom. He is a finalist for several international art awards, including the Columbia Threadneedle Prize and the Celeste Prize in London.
