Ondřej Mestek attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague from 2012 to 2018, studying in the painting studio under Professor Jiří Sopko and later under Robert Šalanda. His work is characterized by situational painting, focusing on the theme of mountains and mountain tourism. He often depicts stories of mountaineers, motifs of solitude and loneliness in the mountains, as well as ski resorts and mountain lodges.
