Karel Štědrý is a graduate of the Academy of Arts and Crafts and a member of the new art group Firma. Already during his studies he developed his unmistakable handwriting with a distinctive colour and plasticity. At first it was stylized figures, later he moved into the position of geometric abstract compositions. He is one of the most sought-after young artists in the country, and in 2021 he drew attention to himself with a work auctioned by the most famous auction house, Sotheby's. In the same year he was also included in the prestigious J&T Bank Art Index.
