About the artwork

This work was created in 2022 as part of a group exhibition called ROW ROW ROW, a response by leading contemporary Czech artists to the 109th edition of Prague's iconic Primátorky rowing race.

Julius Reichel, CZ

Julius Reichel studied at the Academy of Fine Arts, then graduated from the Prague UMPRUM in the studio of Jiří David. He is considered one of the most outstanding representatives of contemporary Czech painting. Although he painted his first picture at the age of twenty-seven, he has extensive previous experience of painting on trains. He has had numerous exhibitions abroad and in the Czech Republic, one of which he turned into bitcoins.
